About

I started this blog in 2009 to chronicle my adventures in exercise and running that had begun on July 4, 2008. Since then, I’ve had many, many running adventures.

In January 2009 I ran my first half marathon in Disney World. In order to do that, I started running again in 2008. I have not stopped since. Since then, I have completed a total of 11 half marathons, two 25ks, at least two 10-mile races per summer, and a zillion 10ks and 5ks. On October 9th, 2011, I finished my first marathon in Chicago in a time of 4:09:39.

Recently, I decided to expand the focus of this blog, as I also spend free time working on freelance editing projects, reading books from the local library, and watching my shows on Hulu and Netflix. One of my fave things to do is spend time with my family; my mom and dad are awesome and I have a younger sister and brother who pretty much take the cake.

I also spend a lot of time with my husband Jack. We were married on October 23, 2010 and have been hanging out (more or less) since 2005.

My favorite foods include nachos, Chik Patties, filet mignon. My favorite drinks include chocolate milk and Diet Coke. I do not eat actual cheese, except in Max & Erma’s tortilla soup.

This blog is about my ongoing ventures to improve my running skillz, write a few novels, and be a successful human at the age of 24 all while having fun at the same time. Expect detours into the bizarre emotions that come with running a lot, the very vivid dreams I frequently have, and commentary on my life as a semi-hermit. Enjoy.

I have reflected many times upon our rigid search. It has shown me that everything is illuminated in the light of the past. It is always along the side of us, on the inside, looking out. Like you say, inside out. -Everything Is Illuminated
